About of ETE


The Department of Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) is one of the most dynamic and fast-growing department of International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC). Starting its journey on 3rd March 2010, ETE has been part of the technology revolution and is a leader in both teaching and research. The ETE department is operating under the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) and is located at level 4 & 5 in the FSE Building of IIUC. The Department applied for an IEB accredited undergraduate program namely Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE). Male student’s intake per semester is 80 (eighty) which is split into two sections.
Currently, the department has more than 531 undergraduate and 373 graduate students. Students coming to the ETE department to study engineering programs can expect a curriculum that is constantly updated and competitive on the world stage, dedicated faculty members, an excellent teacher-student relationship, and cutting-edge know-how.
With well-equipped laboratories and world-class faculty members having vast experience both in industry and academia, major courses are designed with their practical applications in mind.
To supplement classroom teaching, most science and engineering courses are backed by practical laboratory classes. For this purpose, the ETE department has fully equipped 8 laboratories including Electronics Lab, Electrical & Measurement Lab, Internet & Simulation Lab, Computer Lab, Physics Lab & Chemistry Lab. The equipment used for conducting laboratory classes in these labs includes antenna and wave propagation trainer, spectrum analyzer, digital storage oscilloscope, digital and analog communication trainer, fiber optics trainer, control system trainer, electrical machines training system, digital signal processing trainer, microprocessor trainer, industrial electronics training system, data communication, and networking training system, mobile communication trainer.
ETE department has both wired and wireless high-speed data connectivity for all the students and faculty members. Also, the department has a well-structured Telecom Club run by the students with the active supervision of the teachers.
