The mission of the Department of Law is to provide highly qualified students with a superior legal education. Furthermore-
MS:1 To offer strong academic excellence, equipped with modern international standards, with a view to producing well-educated post-graduates adorned with up-to-date knowledge who can become productive members of the legal arena at home and abroad.
MS:2 To enable them to fulfill the academic component of the University's mission, which is part of IIUC's aim to provide a strong educational program.
MS:3 To provide quality education to practice in the apex Court and other prestigious legal fields, and also strive to instill moral values into the students.
MS:4 To enable the post-graduates with the knowledge, skills, attitude, and ethical values necessary to be successful practitioners who are able to impart positive social impacts at the state, regional, national, and international levels.
Objectives of the Department
The LL.M. program integrates students at all levels of study of many different courses and also provides an opportunity to receive applicable training, practical skills, and necessary education to effectively contribute to the legal environment. Additionally, the department seeks to provide the necessary academic background for post-graduates pursuing advanced knowledge and degrees.

Admission Requirements
- Total GPA 6.00 in SSC/Dakhil & HSC/Alim but scoring not less than GPA 2.50 in any individual examination. OR
- Minimum 5 (five) subjects in O level and 2 (two) major subjects in A level with minimum ‘B’ grade in 4 subjects and ‘C’ grade in 3 subjects.

A student shall have to pay Tk. 5,20,125/- for completing LL.B. (Hons) degree as per the following break up:

4. Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
PEO1: To provide strong academic training to students becoming educated members of society who can both join and make significant contributions to the Legal profession at home and abroad.
PEO2: Enable the learners to keep on self-development throughout their careers.
PEO3: Producing post-graduates with the necessary background, both legal and professional skills, to work professionally and fulfill the legal needs of society at the national and international level.
PEO4: To promote learners to research innovation, commercialization, and entrepreneurship, enabling them to become self-motivated, self-employed, and independent rational thinkers.
PEO5: To enable learners to become successful practitioners in the legal arena and to create quality leaders who will lead the Country and the globe at large.
PEO6: Understanding fundamental legal and natural principles of law, synthesize relevant rules of law and their aspects.
5. Learning Outcome for Master's-LLM (Level-9-BNQF)
Bangladesh National Qualification Framework (BNQF)
The Bangladesh National Qualification Framework (BNQF) is an internationally benchmarked instrument for the development, classification, and recognition of skills, knowledge, and competencies along a continuum of agreed levels. Bangladesh adopts four skills as the Learning Outcome Domains in this Framework. According to BNQF, the Learning Outcome Domains for Master's (level-9) that are significant to Bangladesh are:
- a. Fundamental Domain (Skills)
- b. Social Domain (Skills)
- c. Thinking Domain (Skills)
- d. Personal Domain (Skills)
Program Learning Outcome (PLOs)
PLO1: To acquire knowledge of law, both substantive and procedural, develop critical thinking amongst students and practicing those in the legal field at national and international levels.
PLO2: To make the learners eligible for the enrolment examination in the Bangladesh Bar Council (BBC) to become legal practitioners before the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and Tribunals within the Country.
PLO3: To provide a platform to be the Judges in Courts through participating in examinations under the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission (BJS), to participate in exams for legal posts in the Defense (Army, NAVY, Air) recruitment, and also in the legal department of public and private institutions, including banks and other financial institutions.
PLO4: To possess professional skills required for legal practice, such as argument, pleadings, drafting, etc., on various legal issues of both native and global.
PLO5: To develop ideal leadership qualities, apply professional standards and ethics, enabling students to make informed decisions that predict future legal and social consequences.
PLO6: Identifying, understanding, and applying the principles that govern dispute settlement, upholding the highest standard of civic virtue.
PLO7: Ability to apply legal maxims, making them independent thinkers, develop legal research skills & legal reasoning to face new legal challenges in the upcoming days at the national and international level.
